Many individuals may present at BFCS in food crisis, but there are often underlying problems of addiction, debt and mental health. Living Well Matters seeks to resolve those deep rooted issues that have caused the person to face food insecurity

Working in partnership with local mental health service providers, mentors will talk with people and work with them on a one-to-one basis and in group settings to identify areas where small changes can be made that may have a big impact on improving how people feel.

Living Well mentors will provide a range of private and counselling services across areas including depression, exercise, domestic abuse, stopping smoking, coping better with stressful situations, addiction and more.
We work in partnership with a number of organisations such as Dementia NI, Mindwise, North Down and Ards Women’s Aid and Action Mental Health.
